ORGANIZE AND/OR JOIN A PEACEFUL MARCH/PROTEST/VIGIL
If you’ve signed the pledge card you’ve seen that it says that you support “…all non-violent protest, peaceful assembly, and petition.”
But you can do more than sign a pledge to support a non-violent protest, you can actually organize and/or fully participate in a peaceful protest, candlelight vigil, or anti- violence rally.
Your peaceful march/protest/rally can be about criminal justice reform, improving a failing school system, eliminating barriers to voter access, etc.
You (along with others in your community) know what your community needs, so organize it, announce it social media, and make it happen.
*Some cities and towns require permits to conduct protests, marches, or candlelight vigils. So you may want to check with your local government.*
