WHAT THEY DID IN 1963
On August 28, 1963, arriving in Washington, D.C. by car, bus, plane, and train from all over the country, an estimated 250,000 people attended the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
They listened to Dr. King’s dream and then dared their government to create the laws that would secure them jobs and their freedom. And to a great extent it worked…. But the reality is sixty years later, many Americans are living a nightmare rather than a dream and, therefore, much works needs to be done.
